Setting the scene
The architectural palette was designed to remain timeless and understated — referencing the local limestone buildings and gently rolling hills that can be glimpsed through every window. Created for a passionate art collector, the interior spaces are intentionally pared back to provide a flexible setting for an evolving collection of bold contemporary works.

A carefully considered mix of antique, contemporary and custom-designed pieces have been layered throughout the home, balancing simplicity with warmth and comfort. In the living room, soft linens are combined with reclaimed timber, sisal rugs, aged leather armchairs and sheepskin throws to mirror the muted tones of the local landscape.
Wooden ceiling beams and a limestone floor feature throughout the ground level. Within this peaceful setting, the art is allowed to sing – providing colour and focus – such as the dramatic, large-scale still life in the dining room. Upstairs, the bathrooms mirror this palette, with walls in a warm, buff-toned micro cement, window surrounds in Cotswold stone, and sandblasted limestone sinks with floating shelves and oak-framed custom mirrors.
