Introduction
Situated within a new, mixed-use development on Berwick Street in the beating heart of Soho, we designed the interiors of a collection of contemporary apartments. Despite their central location, the ambition was for the apartments to feel like a calm retreat amidst the city buzz while nodding to the charm and character of the surrounding streets.

Situated within a new, mixed-use development on Berwick Street in the beating heart of Soho, we designed the interiors of a collection of contemporary apartments. Despite their central location, the ambition was for the apartments to feel like a calm retreat amidst the city buzz while nodding to the charm and character of the surrounding streets.
Setting the scene
Almost entirely furnished with mid-century pieces, the interiors were designed to feel authentic to the character of Soho itself: layered, eclectic and developed over time rather than overtly staged. Moments of texture, pattern and tonal contrast have been introduced to each apartment to bring warmth and individuality to the spaces while maintaining a cohesive architectural identity across the entire development.

The material palette includes exposed brick and textured plaster, combined with dark stained timber and smoked oak. Blackened steel, bronze detailing and honed stone surfaces are softened by natural linens and woven fabrics. The selected furnishings and objects inject a creative and youthful spirit. Standout pieces include a Cassigoli coffee table from the 1980s and an A.A. Patijn wall-mounted drop-front desk that provides a beautifully discreet home working solution. The sculptural Gary Morga Yang floor lamp is echoed in the Lorenzo Burchiellaro wave mirror and a distinctively curved Italian sofa from the 1950s.
